Officially overworked and underpaid!

Wow, what a month! I now have a Tiger Cub and serve as the treasurer for the pack, 2 soccer players, teach at least 2 group fitness classes a week, chair a committee for the PTO, and have to be a MOM too!

I am loving the busy lifestyle but hate it too. My google calendar has more colored spaces that white(free) spaces. We are approaching a busy time of year with  holidays and vacations planned, but this is what I signed up for!!!

I have to say that I am loving my job as a group fitness instructor. I LOVE motivating others, getting paid to workout, and knowing that I made a difference in someones day! Cycling is my favorite class!!! A few years ago, I would never have said that I love anything about the bike. I taught an aqua class last week, let's just say there wasn't a spark! I plan to take a workshop to teach a weight lifting/ab class, we'll see how that goes.

My mother in law arrives today....that means no posts for at least a week. I'm happy to have her help and watch her bond with the boys. They are both equally excited for her visit, especially the trip to Toys R Us.

Till then...

It's been too long...

I guess I got too busy to post...that's my excuse! Between PTO, a preschooler, and studying for my Fitness Instructor Exam, I'm pooped. I've been doing my best to get the workouts in, though still not at my potential.

I started a month-long boot camp this morning. I've comitted to 2xs/week for the month of September. This morning was my first class. It wasn't too bad, especially considering we didn't do mountain climbers or burpees - my most despised fitness craze! I worked my hamstrings for sure, already feeling the soreness.

Tomorrow is a long run with the Hubby followed by a long bike ride on Sunday. I'm looking forward to the long workouts, it's the speedwork that gets me down. Next week starts Master's Swim workouts at the gym, need to get in on them.

I was tallying my SBR totals for August and was NOT proud of what I came up with...
35.22 miles Running
112.8 miles Biking
400 meters Swimming

As I start September, I am 7 weeks out of race day. I need to amp up my workouts to help keep me strong. Prepping for 750 meter salt water/wetsuit swim, 28 mile bike, 6.2 mile run! Hoping to pull out a sub 3 hour race but understanding that it may be a goal that will have to wait for next time. No excuses, just haven't been feeling the love since I finished IMTX.
